2024… our Journey Begins!

On the road for a week and we haven't posted yet... but never fear! With our new go- pro, some fun video blogs are on the way! But for now, we'll whet your appetite with a fun photo of the day, and we'll backtrack a bit so you can follow along with us!

Departure day: Friday February 2:

Okay, so day 1 gets two photos! Ready to roll out and our amazing playground in Kentucky.

Saturday February 3:

Our next stop was in Alabama, where we walked to a Home Depot and stumbled upon an amazing taco truck in the parking lot!

Sunday February 4:

After another long drive day to Pensacola, Florida! We had an amazing site backing up to the pool, had a beach walk on the Gulf of Mexico, and ate chili for dinner with the pro-bowl... not bad!

Monday February 5:

Treat yo self. Enough said.

Tuesday February 6:

Meeting up with old friends who helped build the Naval Aviation Museum on the naval base... we toured it together, and afterwards had dinner and stapled our dollar bills to the ceiling at McGuire's Irish Pub and Steakhouse in Pensacola.

Wednesday February 7:

A morning walk for shells and a wonderful tour of the National Seashore and Fort Pickens on the island.

Thursday February 8:

I can't believe I didn't take any photos today!! We swam in the pool and did laundry, with an amazing walk on the beach... and packed up for an early departure tomorrow!

Friday February 9:

Boondocking at Crying Eagle Brewery in Lake Charles tonight- and after an amazing dinner and beer at the brewery, we had an unplanned trip to urgent care for an ear infection where we learned about the Mardi Gras Merchant's Parade a mile and a half away. Becuse we didn't want to drop the trailer, we decided it wasn't a bad night for a walk to Walgreens for the prescription.... on the parade route! We couldn't have planned it better!!!

Saturday February 10:

A quick stop in Sugar Land to see family, then a ferry trip with the rig to Port Aransas, TX (the island to the east of Corpus Christi. (We won't talk about the can opener we should have used to force our way into the tightest spot we've parked in to date!!)

Sunday February 11:

Church an an amazing place called Chruch Unlimited that had a message for superbowl Sunday called "30-second Theology"... featuring commercials from the big game followed by funnel cakes and games in the parking lot. This church is doing amazing ministry and we were so glad to join them today!
