For a family that has been so many places, it seems odd that Shari is the only one who has ever been to the Pacific Northwest. This week, Aaron and the kids get a chance to cross the border into Oregon and stop for a few days at Crater Lake National Park. They also spend some time exploring waterfalls and underground rivers in the surrounding area.
After Crater Lake, they head to the Salem, OR area to spend a couple days with Aaron's roommate for many years and his family. But we needed this as a vacation for us, so we turned the cameras off and just enjoyed time with friends.
I will admit that I was in awe of the beauty of this side of Oregon. The rolling hills, forests, and waterfalls were just breathtaking. It really makes one fall in love with Oregon!
